Sordal is a Norwegian band consisting of Stein Roger Sordal, Bjarne L. Severinsen, Tommy Jacksonville, Kenneth Silden and Michael Aadal.
The musical genre of the band is pop/rock, country, folk and a hint of americana.
Their debut record “In Fort Knox with a penny” came out in 2008 (MTG Music). Their second album “Pale Horse Waiting” was released in 2012. Their third album “New Dawn, Old Horizon” was released in May 2014, also on MTG Music. Both “Pale Horse Waiting “and “New Dawn Old Horizon” was recorded in a cabin in Bygland, Norway. In May 2015 the single “Runaway” came out on the bands own label, Hut 4 Records.
In the fall of 2016 the band released it’s first EP; “Chasing Endorphins” (Hut4) which was also the first record which was released digitally.
On February 1st 2018 Sordal released their first single from their upcoming album “Riding the Wind”. The single is produced by Christer Cederberg and is featuring Erik Faber.
The band have done many shows during the years, such as Odderøya Live, Eikerapen Roots Festival and Ose Country Festival. Sordal have also supported Bryan Adams, John Fogerty and Bob Dylan on their live shows.
Their latest album; “Center of the Storm” is due for release fall of 2018.
